Weekend July 4th/5th

Saturday 4th.
Dug up 6 stalks of Orla potatoes. Harvested 16 tubers, 8 medium/large sized and 8 small to very small. 3 of 6 stalks with one blighted tuber. No signs of leaf blight.

Randomly picked some carrots to check for root lengths and development (and taste). From all carrots there was an outstandinly fresh carroty smell. All carrots coulf be easily pulled out, so it seems the consistency of the soil is good for carrots.
Onions look good generally and many show good swelling of the bulbs.

Began pulling out weeds from tunnel sides to prepare ground for beds 9-12.
