Weekend 25th/26th July

Harvested a selection of carrots from the indoor beds, and 4 onions. See photos No.342 - 398 here: http://picasaweb.google.com/jjohnflynn/Polytunnel1?feat=directlink
Carrots generally in great condition except for Paris Market which most of them have split. Onions swelling nicely, not picking regularly until they are more fully mature, except for the odd ones that are most swollen and matured.

The outdoor carrtos and onions have progressed more since the rains. Average stem height on carrots is around 35cm, but the crops themselevs still lag well behind the indoor ones. See photos No.399-400 of the same link above. The onions also are a less swollen that the indoor ones, but a higher quantity of the outdoor ones have closer plant spacing.
