Preparing new beds for spring
Today I've been outside busily digging new beds in the garden for spring.
As the soil has not been used for growing veg before there are a lot of stones - so I'm double digging and removing all the stones. Hopefully this will be the only time I have to do this. I'm also mixing lime into the soil as we're on quite acid soil here. Raising the pH will make nutrients more available for the plants.
